Along with grains, hides, dried fruit, etc wool was a very important part of the river / rail trade. Large sheep stations would load their wool onto paddle steamers and transport it to the railhead at Morgan, to be railed to Port Adelaide or be stored at Landseer’s Warehouse for future sale.
